What you need to play on our Garry's Mod servers
To play on Garry's Mod events of this server, you are required to have the following criterias checked
- Own Garry's Mod On Steam
If you dont, here is the quick way you can buy the game:
- Have Garry's Mod 12 Installed.
Please know that you're installing a different instance of Garry's Mod on your computer, we are NOT using Garry's Mod 13(The version available on Steam) and we use a version that is the older version! None of the content from Steam is compatible with this version of the game and you must install them seperately! Please don't forget to see the amount of storage you have before you start installing

- GM12 Linux Binaries - RUN ON OLD LINUX OR 32 BIT! Has timing issues with new kernels/x64 servers
1. Have either 7-zip, Win-RAR, or any other 7z-compatible archive extractor
2. Download Garry's Mod 12
3. Extract gmod12-"OS".7z anywhere(yes, anywhere), please know that it does NOT go in sourcemods.
4. Ensure Steam is running and is in online mode
5. Create a shortcut to hl2.exe, add the following in the end of the Target field, BUT DO NOT REMOVE ANYTHING BEFORE IT:

-game garrysmod -steamIf you want to, set the icon to the GMod icon by Changing the icon to the one in "garrysmod/resources"
OPTIONAL STEP
If you care about Toybox, do this step, if you don't, don't. Toybox does not work in Multiplayer, so if you care about playing singleplayer and wanna have toybox, do this step.
I haven't patched my installation since I don't really care about it, so it's up to your personal preference
Again, you are not forced to use this service, this service is fully optional and it's your choice to have it or not. It's all up to you
Download this version, then run the "Patch Hosts (Run as Administrator).bat" as Administrator to get Toybox functionality. The CMD window will close immediately after you run it, there's nothing harmful in the script as it's just running some host patches and you only need to do this once on the machine you want to have it on. This is basically Toybox using a rework of the service under the original Cl0udb0x branding.
Content
You must own each game to be able to mount them. Extract in root folder of GarrysMod(the 12, not the steam one).
The most important ones are highlighted, but its still prefered to get every single content installed with your gm12 install.
A complete install of Garry's Mod 12 weighs around 40.9 GB.
IMPORTANT NOTE!!!!!!!!!
For some non-human and unholy reason, Left 4 Dead 2 content has THE ENTIRE FUCKING GAME IN IT, so the things you need to extract is the following folders:
- left4dead2
- left4dead2_dlc1
- left4dead2_dlc2
- left4dead2_dlc3
I already tried to tell the hoster to remove the unnecessary files because nobody, and i really do mean NOBODY would want to have that(technically you're downloading unnecessary copy of Half-Life 2's game data in there too). And any casual gmod player wouldn't really care to notice and break their game install because "they're not fluent in source engine modding".
The reason he told me on why didn't do that is because he said "this is unmodified depot files, it has the entirety of left 4 dead 2 in it because its running on a custom source engine build" Left 4 Dead 1 is like that too, and again, this is game content, not game version preservation
