Garry's Mod 7, oh boy, this version is really something.

Garry's Mod 7 is one of the versions of, you guessed it , Garry's Mod, this version was released on 12th of February 2005, just a year after Half-Life 2 released, this has all your things that you would need like the Tool Gun, Wheel Tool, Duplicator Gun and, last but not least, the Physics Gun.

The Rocket Launcher was repurposed to be a prop launcher, which means you can launcher 900 melons in a second or group up a ton of rockets into one scary stream of explosive goodness.

It was around the time the main foundation for Garry's Mod has properly formed and popularity started to grow about this mod, yes, I will be referring to it as a mod, because that's what it was, a mod.

The worst part about is that you had to work with half-life 2 vanilla assets and pray that it didn't crash, and also the problem with the version is that, well, it's PRIMITIVE.

It features gm_construct, one of the staples of Garry's Mod in a early stage where it has the same layout as G-Mod 8 but has less detail and still has the HL2 Chapter selection room alongside the garage, this is pretty much the last instance we see of it until G-Mod 8 gets rid of it.

Everything here is primitive, the tool gun didn't have everything grouped into it so it was all seperate, the physics gun is basically the same as the rest of the versions before the Garry's Mod 10 Beta releases. The only game you could have messed around in is Half-Life 2, that's it, not even Counter Strike: Source! You had to do some bullshittery to get that, there was also no addon support, so that was even more primitive

The main menu is bland, it doesn't have a title and pressing New Game sends you straight to the gm_construct map, it also features early multiplayer! And you play as the infamous Kleiner model, the one that is known as the MingeBag in it's A-Posing goodness.

As a person that play's Garry's Mod 12 and 8 from time to time, I really enjoyed it, it's basically something that's so familiar but also not, you have less tools that work in your favor so you must find workarounds to some of it's limits, but the worst part is that it's just boring and more unstable compared to 8, none of my saves even load, some things I made there are now inaccessible anymore due to it being a bit too unstable.

Honestly? Don't use this version. Use Garry's Mod 8 or 9 instead, however, I will not stop you from playing it for shits n' giggles, me and my friend had fun in there due to it being too funny playing as mingebags shooting 900 rockets and spinning airboats like carousels. I will be doing a review of Garry's Mod 8 soon. So stay tuned for that
